What is PokeScape?

PokéScape is a Gameboy Advance ROM Hack from Pokémon Emerald ROM made using decomps. Which also means that it plays like a Pokémon game, more than a RuneScape game.

How do I play?

We have a handy, step-by-step guide on how you can play PokéScape here. Don't forget to download the latest version.

Can this be played on Actual Hardware?

Yes! If you have the correct tools, you're able to play on GameBoy SP, GameBoy Advance as well as a Smart Phone. Please join our Discord server for information about that.

Is there a way I can contribute to the project?

How is Development going?

Is there a final release date for the game?

Sadly no, we are a super small team and this is a hobby project. If the team grows, we may be able to complete it faster - we're always looking for extra help!

Can I stream PokéScape on Twitch, or other platforms?

The game is best experienced by the player playing it. But if you wish to stream and/or make videos on it, feel free too. If you are unsure on something be sure to check the official Discord.

How can I transfer my save file to the newest update?

If the update is compatible, then to carry your current save data across to the new build all you just need to do is make sure your .sav file matches the same name as the .gba file. You can do this by renaming either file. Also depending on the emulator you are using there may be an import save option.

Why can't I find a Pokemon Emerald Rom?

Due to legal issues, we're unable to offer or provide any download to a Pokemon Emerald Rom. In order to play PokeScape, you'll have to find this elsewhere.

When does this monster Evolve? Where can I find it?

This website serves as an extensive resource for the game. You can check the sections such as the Bestiary or World Map for this information. Just explore and have fun!

Help! I'm stuck in Draynor Manor or another certain area in-game! What do I do?

Talk to Npcs, this tends to be the surefire way to go about any place where youre stuck. Npc's are there for a reason, talk to them, they get lonely too. If you think it's a genuine bug, then report this on our Discord server Bugs section.

How do I check which version of PokéScape I am playing?

To check which version of PokéScape you are playing, check the books located in the starting room of the game.

When does 'X' Monster Evolve?

Check the Website, GoogleSheets or the Game Code if you want something specific.

Where does the game end, and where is it finished up too? Is my game bugged?

No. Your game isn't bugged. The Game Currently ends at Barbarian Village, and is polished up to that point. Everything after that is work in progress!

Is the game crossplatform, and can I play on Mobile?

Yes, the game is crossplatform on Mobile, Desktop, on your Browser and some real-world devices. Please check the setup page here for more information.
