Setup Instructions
1. Download the BPS patch here.
2. Download a clean English Copy of a Pokemon Emerald Rom.
Due to legal reasons, you must source the Pokemon Emerald (English) ROM yourself.
3. Visit the PokeScape ROM Patcher page here.
4. Upload the Emerald ROM (.gba file) to the ROM FILE
and the BPS Patch (pokescape.bps) to the PATCH FILE.
5. Press "Apply Patch" and then Download the Patched ROM file.
6. Open the Emulator, load in the new .gba file.
Troubleshooting
Sometimes, on some mobile devices the .gba download may download as a .txt file instead. This is easily rectifiable so you can quickly start playing! You simply need to rename the file extension from .txt to .gba instead. You're good to go!
To check which version of PokeScape you are playing check the books located in the starting rooms while playing.
If the update is compatible, then to carry your current save data across to the new build all you just need to do is make sure your .sav file matches the same name as the .gba file. You can do this by renaming either file. Also depending on the emulator you are using there may be an import save option.
